Liam is now studying Music Industry at Middle Tennessee State University. He has won many awards including Indiana All-State Jazz Band Alternate in 2016, Purdue University Jazz Soloist award in 2014 and 2016, best jazz combo soloist at Snider Jazz Festival in 2016 and 2017, and at Northside Jazz Festival in 2017. The bands Liam has performed with also received awards including ISSMA State Marching Band Qualifier in 2013 and Top Honor Band & First Place Rhythm Section at Inaugural ISSMA State Jazz Competition in 2016.
Liam has attended public master classes by musicians including Roy Wooten, Butch Miles, Victor Wooten, Durico Watson, Robert Van Sice, and Keith Dudek. He has received private masterclasses from legends including Peter Erskine, Ed Soph, and Jim Rupp. Liam has received private instruction from talented educators including Lalo Davila, Dr. Brian Mueller, Kent Klee, Doug Laughlin, and Grammy award winner Derrek Phillips.
Liam continues to gig both in Nashville, Tennessee and in Fort Wayne, Indiana at local clubs, venues, and churches in genres including rap, jazz, funk, classical, R&B, Christian contemporary, and gospel. He has also played and subbed in Nashville area pit orchestras including Million Dollar Quartet, Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat, Mary Poppins, 9 to 5, and will play for Spring Awakening in the Spring. Liam performs in Nashville area recording studios, while teaching private lessons and being a full-time student.
